HOLBOX EXCURSIONS
Not only white beaches, mangroves and palm trees, but also the frigate birds, comorants and pelicans are breathtaking.
Flamingos can also be admired for half a year during the season starting at the end of April.
COURSE OF THE EXCURSION:
The Holbox excursion takes us to the border of the Carbian Sea, to the Gulf of Mexico.
During the boat tour, after leaving the starting point of Chiquila, we will first visit Passion Island with its great beaches and turquoise sea.
After that, we will go to the mosquito point before continuing to the island of Holbox, which is about 40 km long and 2 km wide.
At lunch we enjoy menu a la carte.
During the two-hour stay in Holbox (free time), it is recommended to take a bicycle to explore the town and the surrounding area.
For refreshment we jump into the Cenote Yalahau on the way back.

RECOMMENDATION:
- Please bring enough money for personal expenses such as souvenirs or alcoholic beverages.
- We have drinks in the minivan, nevertheless it is recommended to personally carry 1 l of water on your body when entering the archaeological sites.
- Headgear is recommended.
- Don't forget your swimsuit.
- It is not recommended to go on tour with slippers.
- In no case apply sunscreen before the tour or only biodegradable.
- In the freshwater cenotes on the Yucatan Peninsula, strict attention is paid to water quality, as some of this water is still drunk.
- The chemicals used in conventional sunscreen destroy coral and are harmful to marine life.
Therefore, sunscreen is no longer allowed in Mexico in many natural parks of the Riviera Maya and also on Cozumel.
